Drag Race’s
A couple of weeks ago, me, my brother, my sister and her boyfriend went to the drag race. It was the very first day this year that they were open. My sister and my sisters boyfriend were gonna compete in the event, but my sister decided not to because of the fact that it was the first day that me and shade had ever been to the drag races. So my sister decided not to compete. However, My sisters boyfriend still competed.
After we finally got there, are sister gave us earplugs. She said that we would probably want to have earplugs in case there would be a drag car. A drag car is a very very fast car.
Once we found a spot to sit, we saw some cars that had a parachute on the end. The parachute means that the car can complete like a quarter mile track in under nine seconds.
At one point, there was a police car that raced. Sadly the cop car was not able to finish the track. The cop car had to pull over to the side of the track because he thought there was a mechanical problem.
Anyways, after a couple minutes my sisters boyfriend finally got to race. The first two times he raced, he did not win. All though I kind of figured that he would not win because of the fact that he was racing a Dodge truck, which was much more powerful than his little GMC Sierra.
I don’t quite remember the third race of his, but it was a fun event to be at.
I have a couple if questions.
The first question is, have you ever been to the drag race?
Second question is, if you have been to the drag races, did you like it, or did you hate it?
The final question i want to ask you is, if you have been there before in your life, did you see a drag car?

Sounds pretty cool. I don't really remember the snow mobile race. I think I was one of the unlucky people that didn't get a seat on the one of the too very small bleachers, so that meant a not very good view. Too bad the copper couldn't finish the race.:(. Your sister's boy friend probably would of had a chance if miraculously someone ran across the track and stopped the other guys truck bye singing*insert worlds worst song here* while doing*insert worlds dumbest dance move here* in a bucket of *insert worlds most disgusting food here* accompanied bye * worlds most popular cartoon character here*. Other than that he would of won if a * insert animal name here* being ridin by a * insert mythical creature here* eating a * insert popular food here* crashed into the truck.

I have never been at a drag race before, so I can't answer any question except the first one. Form the looks of the post, I think it would be very fun and cool to go to one. If you had remembered what had happened in the third race your sisters boyfriend was in, it would enhance this comment by a few things: if he where to have won it, what happened when he won it if he won it, or if he had raced a person with a car that was worse than his, yet he still lost or something to that degree.
ReplyDeleteIf I had a sister that had a boyfriend competing in a drag race, I think that if what Semous said would happen, it would be very amusing to see what happened if that happened. And if that didn't happen, then it would have just been nice for him to just have a better car.
I think that it would be a amazing opportunity and experience to get to go to a drag race as I have never been! Although I have never been to a drag race, I have been to a motor cross because my cousin competes in it. In the beginning of one of his competitions his bike stalled but, proving how great he is, he came up from last and ended up in third place!! My family and I were all pretty proud of him!

No i have never been to a drag race. if i did i would probably hate it i don't really like drag races but my brother does and no i have never seen a drag car and i have never been there before.

i have been at castrol raceway before on a friday night watching cars race against others i was there with my brother scott i thought it was fun to be there and watch all the different cars race and it was fun to decide which car i thought was gonna win.

I think that going to a drag race is a very good experience in life to go see.I think it would be fun to drag race but I would not race in a truck I would race in a smaller but faster car.
ReplyDeleteI have been to the monster jam where they crush cars and flip motorbikes. they also were throwing t-shirts and i caught 3 of them it was fun.

ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I have never been to a drag race nor do I find them amusing. I kind of think that comedy wise they are stupid. Just think about it, when a girl dresses like a guy it gets shrugged off. In fact stores make clothes to suit girls who dress like guys. But when a guy dresses like a girl, its the funniest thing ever and considered a Halloween costume.
I have always known that I have a "different" sense of humor when it comes to other people's embarrassment. For example, I have an incredible hate for the show America's Funniest Home Videos. While some people pee their pants from watching the (in my mind) obvious grandma falling.
Funny or not funny, this was a good blog. Over and out.

yes I have been to a drag race but I was not there for long and yes I did see a drag car and it was racing another drag car it was a close match my dad one time tried to enter but they had too many people so we had to watch it was so much fun I also seen two trucks race there was a lot of fast cars and it was super loud
ReplyDeleteyes, I have been to drag race, with my younger cousin and my uncle and aunt with my parents. I did enjoy it except for we never found a place to sit and my feet were killing me by the end. I did see a drag car, I was fairly close close to the divider fence when they raced.

DeleteI haven't really have much of my free time to go to a drag race because me and my brother always plays basketball, but it would be fantastic to go there this summer. I think it would be exciting when I win and frustrating when I lose, specially if I lose to my brother. I have not seen a drag car or a race track, but still, if I have any oppotunity to do so, I would take it.Me and my family is planning to go to a drag race to summer so, this summer will be fantastic.

Drag racing is a very competitive sport in itself just not as intense as others.

I did not quiet enjoy it as others.
The few things that it's missing are..
Longer road 3 km straight.
More cars 6 inplace of 4
But as a sport it is a very fast one.

I think that it would be the time you would want to remember. I would be surprised if a car stalled, got from last to fourth, and ended in first. I have never been to a drag race, but for my birthday, I'm going to an indoor karting place. I hope I go cause its says that you have to be 12 or older. I'm hoping to go on my birthday, cause if I have to cancel it until Saturday, after my birthday, then I will be unhappy.

ReplyDeleteI went to the one in sherwood park it was cool Ihad lots of fun with my familey i have went there with my sister my mom my mom's boyfriend and his 2 sons Dustin and Jarumy.
After all it turned out really fun and after the drag race we got a poster of all the cars.

It went with some roller derby friends and that is also were I learned how to play a musical instrument. The musical instrument is just metal then it vibrates and makes a sound.

Actually, my family competes in the professional Drag Races. Our team name is Mageau Family "THE PROSPECTOR". Although I don't go with them- Because it hurts my ears, even with earplugs- my brothers goes and he works in the pits. As in changing the wheels, filling the gas and stuff like that. Don't believe me you boys in my class ask my Brother, Mom, Grandpa, and Grandma. Then tell me what you think! Ask me at school for a few proof pictures
